How do we make the guild better?
Our guild has been getting kind of weird, what with people not saying hi when people log in or not responding to guild chat. Does anybody have any ideas on how to improve the situation? Frank and I feel like doing a huge guild overhaul.

Re: How do we make the guild better?
But at the very least there seems to be a trend of people just ignoring Guild Chat. At the very least when someone asks what's up, if you're busy just say, "Sorry..training right now...can't talk" just so we know you're not just ignoring.
We want to have an active, TALKATIVE guild but we can't seem to make it happen!
And I hate just adding random people since they're the ones who ask to be Jrs 2 seconds after joining.

hmmmm, ideas to improve the situation huh?
I'n not too sure on what to say on this one but you could try to spark up a situation by trying to make up guild events with prizes and guild quests and stuff.
You've done a good job by starting up the website and the forum where we can all meet to chat and stuff.
Maybe its not the best way to go but kick people if they don't have an excuse for not being active for over a month or something? minumum two weeks?
There are lots of things you can do. Try downloading Ventrilo (http://www.ventrilo.com/) and make it something for people to use. Voice communications might spark things up. If you do try to use voice communications, don't make it a requirement though because that will just get people annoyed. i personally quit a guild once because this was made a requirement.
Besides that all I can give out is software to talk out of the game. Try using the famous chat software, X-Fire (http://www.xfire.com/). This software is famous for bring clans and groups together outside of the game and in. You can talk to members perosnally and etc. it's a messenger made specifically for gamers which records game playing hours and etc. Try it?
Well that's all for now.
P.S. Thanks for inviting me even though I was a random person....lol, dont worry. I wont ask to be a JR

Those are some good suggestions! We've thought about having guild events before but we're still trying to find some way to equalize the competitions so that people across the different levels won't get cheated. For example it's hard to have a leveling competition when some people are level 30 and some are level 60. But we're open to any ideas!
Xfire is another good idea and i'll check it out. Chrissy and I mainly wanted everyone on the forum so that all the guild members can stay in touch whether they are playing maple or not. There are times (especially during school season) when people can surf the web but not sign on to maple so at least they can come here and leave messages so we know they're still alive! Or at least during the many times when maple patches and then people have problems and can't load it, etc. At least they can come here and ask for help. There was one patch a few months ago when I couldn't get on for a month! Maple is worse then America Online when it comes to a poorly coded program...
Thanks again,
Frank
